Northern California - Need Rides in Mill Valley/Marin general area

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hi all,
I have a friend that lives in Mill Valley and will soon become one of us and join the ranks of roadies. Therefore, I'm asking for routes that we could take her on. I'm not looking for one specific route but maybe a progression of rides that would be good for someone starting out that increase in difficulty/length as she becomes a stronger rider. Plus, I'd like to know good rides when I visit the area. So, fire away!
Great riding in that area, although a lot of it is challenging.
An easy route would be on the bike path to Sausalito. The ride from MV to Tiburon is also quite easy and very scenic (return the same way or head over via the "Paradise" loop to add some miles and scenery).
The ride to Fairfax is pleasant and opens the door to two of my favorite loops: (1) to Nicasio, Pt. Reyes Station, and back via Samuel Taylor Park (37 miles RT from Fairfax), this is an intermediate/easy ride with less than 2000 ft of climbing, and (2) the Alpine Dam ride up to the Seven Sisters (add a climb to the top of Tam to make it very challenging) -- you can return on 1 or through the neighborhoods (this is a gorgeous ride and fairly challenging, but definitely doable).
Let me know if you need specific routes for any of these!
Maybe check the websites for some of the local clubs as well- many include route slips. Garmin Connect also has tons of routes.
