Anyone have any idea what an appropriate length BB spindle for this crank would be? I'm putting it on an 80's Rossin road bike. Not sure of the model but it's columbus SLX tubing, so its pretty nice. Doing what I can to make this bike tour/hill friendly for my partner and hoping I can swap cranks w/o swapping the BB too.
A sora triple crank fits on the bike just fine if that is any help. I'm just missing the chainring sizes I'd like, and would like something a little more era/quality appropriate for the bike.

for sugino it should be 107mm or 110mm.

I've had a few older Sugino triples, they require unusually long bb spindles. I'm thinking 127 if I remember correctly.

the answer is no one knows for sure, so just buy a bunch of lengths from somewhere you can return them and try them out.

Ya, the unusually long length is what I'm afraid of... I've run into that too. How 'bout the XD2 triple they are selling these days... that would go with a more standard size BB right?

Depending on how wide/thick the chain stays are, a 127 would be the place I'd start. I have a bunch of those older triples and they all need a wide asymmetric spindle to clear the stays.

I've upgraded a few Sugino LP, VP, and AT's (double to triples) and they will usually require a spindle length between 124-127mm asymmetric minimum for 168mm shell. You may also use a spindle meant for 170 shell within the 168 with the use of spacers. I'm assuming were talking the old style cup n cone.

Ya, cup and cone. This is a sugino itallian bottom bracket.
Thanks for the responses, they've been helpful.
