It's on Craigs and the details from the seller are>> it's a men's bike, I am 5'10" and ride it, the picture shows everything and the tires need air. He wants $100.

If it is actually an early to mid 70's 531 framed Super Course in good shape I am guessing that is a good price for a keeper if it fits. Frame looks really big. If that is a Brooks saddle on it that's a plus.:)

I can go see it in the morning and it's close by.

If he's 5'10" and rides that, he must have a voice like Mickey Mouse. I'm 6'0" and can barely ride my 63cm Bridgestone (very intimate!) If it fits you and you like it, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it pending everything is in good shape w/ no bends, bad rust, dents etc. I was looking at one in FL for $50 w/ a tweaked fork, stripped crank arm and no wheels but, shipping would've been too much. Make sure you like it and will be happy w/ it. Keep us posted!

I looked at the bike. It's a 25 1/2" frame and too big for me. It looked in good shape and a possible flip. I told the guy I wanted to check something and got out an allen to loosen the seat post for movement. He said,"what are you going to do?. Everything works just fine"

I passed on it. Maybe he was just having a bad day or thought I was dissing his bike but ya gotta kick the tires before handing over he cash. Strange encounter indeed.

We used to laugh at schwinn shop that from time to time appeared to have the "bigger the bike, the bigger the man" point of view.

5' 6" guys on a 23" frame... maybe it was the Riv' fit before there was Riv', get those bars up high.

The other was a pair of boys who each got a 24" Super Sports in 5th and 6th grade, the dealer sold them a special seat post that snaked down and forward with a scction of 1/2' rod, the saddle was bolted to a section level with the horizon and the whole thing brought the seat collar down to the top tube and forward. They moved so I never knew if they grew into the bikes very fast. I thought is was quite scary, but maybe mom or dad did not want grandkids.
