Mountain Biking - Help needed to buy forks!!!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
i just purchased a giant upland SE (i know its not the best bike but she'll do me) and i was wondering if anyone knows some cheap $100 - $300 AUD forks or if you hav any old forks ill even buy them if their in good condition

Check ebay, and also, check the fork guide. It's a sticky in the MTB forum. One of the ones in the upper section.

doesn't the upland SE have suspension forks? even if it does i dont know if judy tts are much of an improvement. it looks like US$140 so AUD$200? dont know about avvailability tho.
Okay first you have A fork, not forkS. Second you need to know whether the bike has a threadless or threaded headset, and whether its 1 1/8" or 1". I can't even find the bike on giant-bicycle.com and work at a Giant shop and have never seen one. Is it an older model? General rule of thumb though, if you are spending half as much as the bike costs on a fork, its probably just time to get a better bike that already has a good fork on it and better components to begin with.
its new its a special edition of the upland , and im not that rich to buy a bike better than that
