I'm Ryan. I ride a late 80's Nishiki road bike, early generation aluminum, it's rather sexy but becoming a bit too rough around the edges. I'm currently building a no-name Reynolds 531 frame to be my commuting machine. The details are still being hammered out, but its looking like its going to be a 7 speed built for durability and practicality. I'm considering throwing a Sturmey Archer fixed internal 3speed on the Nishiki for the casual bike once it is retired from commuting duty.
I live in Portland OR, work at a nonprofit, and am of a fortunate segment of the population that enjoys riding my bike daily, and really hope to never have to go back to driving regularly.
