Colnago Super Piu (55.5cm) - 9 Speed - cant narrow down the year but its around 1993
Dura Ace 7700 Bottom Bracket
Dura Ace 7700 Front and Rear derailleur
Dura Ace 7700 Cranks
Dura Ace Chain and Cassette
Ultegra Brakes and Shifters (dont know which model but its one of the more recent ones, 6600?)
Chris King headset

Silver Thomson Elite Seat post (not pictured)

That is a Straight Carbon Fork
Columbus SL tubing
Bike was weighed at a bike shop - 19.7lbs
Bike was professionally repainted by Joe Bell (Used Actual Ferrari testarossa paint)
The paint job is still very clean no chips or scratches (if any VERY small)

That is a question that will arise. I think the original poster was hoping for more, Joe Bell paint jobs are not cheap nor overpriced, but most often not a good return on investment. The components are sound, but personal preference in selection. It is also a bit confusing as it is described with a carbon fork but the image shows the steel. It will be worth more with the original fork.

Sorry Just want to Clarify, the bike was professionally repainted to since the original paint job was deteriorating. That straight fork pictured is actually a carbon fork (painted over of course, but not the original steel fork). thanks

My guesstimate remains the same. DA 7700 series dates to ~1997

I could tell it was not a steel fork as the alloy tips are showing. I don't follow Colnago enough to remember when Ernesto brought out the precesa (sp?) straight blade fork. Nevertheless, the original steel fork if painted to match or all chrome will still most likely provide the highest value.

Some bikes with original crummy paint jobs are worth more Because the original paint is still intact. I have a Masi Prestige that has a color coat the will flake off if you look at it wrong, but repainting it will lower its value, just the way it is. Even though a new paint job would cost more than the frame would fetch.

+1 Its only original once. Its frustrating, as a high quality paint job is pretty pricey, but even so, it knocks the value down. Lack of original fork is a major hit value wise as well. Stem looks out of place to me, but it is a personal preference. Miamijim does a lot at this price range, I defer to him on this one.

If you try to sell locally, it really depends where you live. In my area, its hard to get $1000 for any bike. Good for buying top end stuff, not so hot for selling.
