I needed to head to the bank on base yesterday, and decided to take my fast bike. But, I didn't want to leave it completely unsecured outside, and didn't want to deal with taking it inside, either, so I wanted to take a lock. I didn't think it was necessary to bring my big chain (which I can just wear over my shoulder), but there's no place on this frame to mount a lock bracket.
I had thought of this a while ago, and had wiggled the "U" through the saddle rails to see if it'd fit, but never bothered adding the Twofish block and taking it for a ride until yesterday.
It works really well. I can't feel the lock under my butt, and my legs don't seem to hit it at all. The Lockblock keeps the lock in place while protecting the thin-walled seatpost.
I also have a larger NY Standard lock, but haven't taken it on a ride yet.
I had gotten the 3-piece Lockblock set a while ago:
