Classic and Vintage Bicycles: What's it Worth? Appraisals and Inquiries - how can I determine the year of my peugeot

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
It looks like a ladies frame but i do not know since I have seen some men on these bikes. I would like to know the year of it. It's a mafac racer
It is not a Mafac Racer. That is the brand of brake caliper.
Its a UO18, somewhere in the mid 1970s (looks a lot like a 1974 model.
what do you think its worth
Current state (needs TLC) $50. Fully refurbished: new bearings, grease, tires, tubes, cables and housings, $175 in my market. Note, unless you do all the work yourself, it will cost you all of that difference and most likely more at a shop to have it refurbished.
Price assumes bike is marketed well.
In one of those insane markets, more.

I just sold a Peugeot exactly like that for $170 in mint condition. Last year I could have gotten $200. the market for bikes has declined a bit. Here is Peugeot web site http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CBcQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.re-cycle.com%2FHistory%2FPeugeot.aspx&ei=pwhgTJEchfa2A8ODwKoL&usg=AFQjCNE9Yg-7BJq9oHLiMdUDFDig0tLr_w&sig2=y2k5ofrK0aXTsNtviKdSJQ
Start going thru catalogs from the early 70's and you'll find your bike. You may not get the exact year, but close. I sold my bike easily. Its very desirable with young women
