At Rivendell, what do you get with your extra $5?

Much cheaper shipping, from the looks of it.

why not get the IRD thumbies and save even MORE money? pauls stuff is nice and usa made i believe, but if its money saving ,the IRDs are a much better deal for the same, basic product.

what do you get at rivendell? the knowledge you are helping Grants' cash flow problem out. sheesh, i've never seen such a repeated and apologetic 'come on, help us out please, money's tight' message from a supplier/importer before.

i was down in the bay area, and seriously considered popping over to walnut creek, but the plea for cash at the riv blog just left me with a bad impression, so badly i didnt' even WANT to stop by! if there's that much of a repeated problem, Grant, change the way you do business!

He's been like that since the day he opened for business. Rivendell was under capitalized from the start and has lived a hand-to-mouth existence since. His choice of products and bikes doesn't lend it self to mass market appeal either.

Apparently he's not much of a business man, having almost single handedly put Bridgestone out of the US market with his eccentric and eclectic choice of bike models. The Bridgestones from his tenure have become cult classics but like most cults, they only appeal to a very limited audience.

well, its pretty unpleasant.

As a business approach to salesmanship, it's driven my money elsewhere.

Maybe Rivendell would give me a deal if i told them I was having a hard time paying MY bills?

They're stocked by QBP too, your LBS probably has an account ,
shipping is included in retail price margin, then.
