Hi!
What do you think about this purchase I am up to. As stated in the title. It has columbus SLX and is VERY Pink! but it's cool! Not perfect condition but pretty nice still.
Here is a link to the swedish sales site: http://www.blocket.se/angelholm/Miyata__Banani_och_Ciocc_28839314.htm?ca=11&w=3&last=1
I have already agreed to buy it, but what would be a reasonable price do you think?
I'm about to spend like $600 or somethink like that..
What about the Components Cool and crap or pretty good?

This might be more appr. in the appraisal forum.
That being said, does it fit?
If yes, buy the bike pronto.
$600 is fair or somethink like that. :)
Very cool bike. I love the color!
It's a Ciocc weekend around here.
Oh, welcome to the forum.
Thanks for the welcome! looking forward to posting some more pictures when bought (hope nothing screws up, since I cant pick it up for another 3 days)
I'm 180cm.. 5'10? and it is a 58 so I think it will fit okey, even if a 56 might be even better.
the pedals looks boring but I will replace them with old-school clips. I hope he has the original Campagnolo left.
And for other swedes here: Don't buy it!
It's mine for $550 by the way, seem like a good price! the markes is a little slower here since both demand and supply of nice bikes is low.

$550? that sound like a great deal. this must be Coicc season this is third post in the last two days.
the pedals look like Time clipless you can likely sell them off on Ebay. before you start tinkering with the brakes make sure you run by Sears or a good hardware store and get two good quality 3.5 mm allens to adjust the brakes. (or is it 2.5 OY!)

Yer probably looking at the Miyata. Ciocc is the 3rd pic down.
I'm going with Fucsia. What a stunner!
I'm curious about the second bike, the Banani, never heard of that one. My Swedish is a little rusty, but it looks like the ad says the bike is Danish.

It depends on inseam and preference...but that sounds far too large for you. I'm a hair under 5'10 and anything over 54 is uncomfortable for me. Anything past a 55-56cm TT becomes awkward.
I'd wager this doesn't fit.

58 is pretty big. Might work for a long-legged 5'10". If long-legged, might need a slightly shorter stem unless long-armed also.

it looks like a very nice deal for $550, if it turns out too big you can certainly make your investment back. I'd say it's one of the later Billato-built Ciocc frames given the semi-fastback seat cluster and internal brake cable, yet not quite a '90s frame since it still has the classic forkcrown and club-pierced BB shell, I'll say late '80s.
edit: I was conflating pics of the other Ciocc (red) with this pink one...I can't really tell what the BB shell looks like, but it still might have that late-'80s seatcluster and forkcrown ;)
Well, the paint is not in great condition even if the picture doesn't tell. And it will need new tires and som restoration with regards to the breaks and the wires. Might be internal rust as well, but that is ok.
I googled Banani and it is a danish brand, a Guy called "Banana" started. He changed the name to something more italian.
Btw. Google chrome has a greate real time translation function btw should work perfekt on swedish - english.
It is sold in a a mall town in the south of sweden, right next where I grew up, guess that makes the demand lower as well. However the price might go up if someone else bids over me in the next few days. I'm stuck in Stockholm because of a date on wednesday. Girls before bikes..or? maybe if the girl is younger than the bike :)
the size issue should bo ok, I have a raleigh 58 now that works and my friends chesini 57 fits good. I guess I have pretty long legs.
