Frame is an 8/10
if a 10 is a rustbucket then this bike is a 1 or 2 on rust

I cant find any info on this bike anywhere.

Im just wondering what it is and if its worth anything, Im stumped.

nice looking bike. I am not familiar with the Alpine name are you and the bike in the states? I doubt the biopace rings are aftermarket as the other conponents look the proper age for biopace.

Alpine my be a catalog brand from some place like Bean, or REI, (I did say like I know REI has there Nouvara brand and Bean used to private label C'dales)

as for value depending where you live a clean Sport LX bike with a ChroMoly frame (it is ChroMoly yes?) would be $200 or so.

Yes we are in the states, Southwest Florida actually. I was just thinking the biopace was aftermarket because the sticker was still on it and it looked new. But I suppose the bike was just not ridden much which is why it is in such good shape. I figured a sticker from the 80s would be faded and peeling but indoor AC storage must have been doing this bike well. No indications on the bike what the frame is made of, any easy way of telling by the lugs or something?
