Well, I bought these wheels today off an impulse. They're awesome wheels, and I'd keep them, aside from the fact that the rear hub is for a freewheel.

I'm wondering what they're worth. I didn't take many pictures at all, but the hubs show a little use (stickers starting to peel just a wee bit at two of the corners), and the rims look essentially like NOS.

The freewheel is 7spd and it's Shimano UG style. I haven't actually looked at it after I cleaned it, so I can't say exactly. However, I do believe that it's one of those silent hubs? There's no clicking on the freewheel, but it engages just like anything else I have.

Would this stuff be worth more separate than together? I know selling tubular stuff is hard, but I also know that people freaking love these hubs.

Thanks!

Here's the deal.

I usually buy every tubular wheelset on the local CL with any Campy, Mavic, or DA bits.

That's why I am really stockpiling various Campy hubs, Mavic rims (various), and DA hubs. I also have a sweet tooth for Araya Aero 1's and and certain Wolbers.

I usually pay $50 to $100 per wheelset. After looking at Campy hub prices on ebay, I think it will be money in the bank.

As for yours, fifty to seventy five dollars would be the goin' rate here, although I am sure someone would slap a $250 sticker on them.

Nice wheels.

Set them aside until someone is begging for them.

Do you think that the hubs would fetch a fine penny if I disassembled the set?

Hard to say, but at our swap last January, there were some in the $15-$25 range.

for only $75 I would be interested. I would rather have a cassette rear but at that price they are hard to pass up. shipping might be pricy though
