Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

You know the kind... with the screw on the back side? Helps you grab the toe strap to cinch it up...

edit: yes, I know I can't type that well... buttoms? really Frank? Sheesh...

They come up on eBay with some regularity. Might want to check the online store sites for specialty vendors who concentrate on vintage bicycles too.

I think I've seen them at a few LBS that also catered to FG/SS bikes, as toeclips and straps are a big thing with FG/SS riders.

If you can't find some, another way to go is to fold over about a half inch of the toe strap end and pierce a hole through the doubled over strap and put a rivet through them. it is very clean and gives a nice lump to pull on. !970s Masi bikes came this way.

Hey, wow! That's a GREAT idea! Do you have a pic of how they did that?
