Hi,
As of lately, I've started hearing a clicking noise from the rear wheel. Here's the evidence:

It happens also if I don't pedal;
It happens once per revolution of the wheel, but it skips some times;
If I shift my weight forward, stepping out of the saddle and leaning as much as I can on the handlebar, the noise will stop.

I have lubed the intersections of the spokes to no avail. But actually, despite the lubing, if I squeeze the spokes together, some of them will click badly, showing friction, instead of smoothly sliding on eachother thanks to the lubricant.

Any idea of how I could fix this?

Is this a new bike or wheel, have you had the wheel checked for loose spokes / uneven tension after break-in period?

Juha, moikka :)
This is a new bike, I have done about 1000km on it. No I haven't checked the wheel. This is a hybrid bike bought at a shop in Annankatu, in Helsinki. Do you think they will service it for free because it's the first service?

Regardless of whether it's a first service, they should attend to that wheel. A properly built/tensioned wheel will not do that.

Usually both shops in Annankatu strongly recommend a tune up for the bikes they sell within 300-500 kms, just to tighten all the bolts and nuts. It's either free or at discount, depending on how much you bargain when you buy the bike. Drop a PM if you want to go through this in Finnish.
