Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - machined vs. non-machined rims...

hey everyone,

i'm just trying to make a aesthetic decision here before i order some rims - for your no brake FG setup, do you prefer machined or non-machined sidewalls?? what do think looks better?

non machined looks better in my opinion.

Look, dude, I'm not trying to give you a complex or anything. I'm just having a little fun. The point is, a bicycle is supposed to be an expression of you. Nowhere is it more true than in the fixed/singlespeed arena. You're intentionally rejecting decades of received wisdom to go with a retrograde technology. It's your choice, if you're going to be an individual, be an individual. If there's no performance difference between machined sidewalls and non (and that wasn't your question) then it's all about what looks good to you.

And I'm not a messenger, never claimed to be. I'm just a guy who likes to ride a bike, just like all the rest of us.

This one is nice, they even have race specific in wood finish, though they do not hava track version. (YET!)
