General Cycling Discussion - New American-made Beach Cruiser buying advice

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Hi, I didn't know what category to post this one in, so feel free to move it to the appropriate place. I'm brand new around here but I assure you, this isn't a spam-post. I currently ride around in a mid-90's Schwinn Classic Cruiser that I bought new back in the day. I've loved it since day one, however it's starting to rust up pretty good and it may be time to go to a new home (or keep for a "back up") My question is this: do you know of any Beach Cruiser-style bicycles made in the USA? I don't want to buy my next bike made in China, or Taiwan, as this one was. The only brand I could find was Worksman Cycles from New York. Looking to see if any of you have any advice/information on this subject. Would also consider beach cruisers made in certain European countries, but I don't think they make this style of bike over there. Anyway, I appreciate in advance any help you send my way. Thanks.

http://www.ingliscycles.com/ in N California can hand make one for you,
Perhaps in Titanium if you wish..
or stainless steel to be rust resistant.
Or why not refurbish a good old Chicago made 50's Schwinn ?

There are several companies that make industrial bikes. Worksman is one. There is a Mohawk somewhere up north, and an Emory in Florida.
There are a number of custom makers if your budget is on the high end.
And you can buy no end of old Schwinn or other frames made in the US.

Basicly, you have two choices when it comes to the old beach crusier models......Worksman or China junk.
