I'm riding to work today, pacing this guy on this motorized moped (like a razor scooter with no seat) who had his kid standing on the tiny bit of platform left at the front, going down the road next to me at 17mph. I didn't want to distract him but after seeing him barely miss a 6" deep 4" wide gash in the pavement with his 3" wheels, I looked over and screamed "Get the kid a helmet!!" and pointed to mine before I made the turn.
