I am currently following this youtube video guide to install my internal bottom bracket.

I have followed the guide successfully through 2:18~. I have uninstalled my old bottom bracket, cleaned the area, greased everything up well, and screwed in the non drive side cup a few turns. I am now currently trying to install the drive side of the bottom bracket, and for some reason after a couple of turns it just gets stuck and is really hard to turn all of a sudden. Does anyone know what could be the problem? I don't want to force it in there before I find out something about this. Thanks.

Don't forget there are English and Italian threads.
Hove you got the correct BB?

did the cups come with some thread compound on them already? clean it off if it bothers your

What frame do you have? What bb are you trying to install?

+1 to all the above, but look really closely as you're trying to thread in the drive-side cup. It's easy to get the cup cross-threaded, especially if the BB is a teeny bit oversize.

i just paid really close attention when aligning it and it went right in this time... pitiful error on my side... thanks all

Remember drive side/ fixed cup is LEFT hand threaded.

Those fine threads need attention when installing. Glad you got them in. I also run a tooth brush around the threads in the shell and on the bottom bracket to clean and remove any crud, then apply plenty of grease to the threads.
