Wanting to be able to record video of activity that takes place in front of the laptop. Built-in webcam lacks video capture. The cheapie camcorder allows for playback on the monitor, but won't record while it's synced to the laptop (and sound quality is atrocious- has an annoying clicking sound like that of a bicycle coasting at lower speeds).
I tried to find some software that will allow me use my existing to webcam, but all I'm coming up with either a) are editing/enhancement (which does me no good) or b) screen captures that snag images off of the interwebz.
Essentially, this is going to part of a high tech "mirror wall". I've got a 14 yr old starting JROTC (USMC-style), a 9 yr old who wants to get into cheer leading, and a 6 yr old who thinks he's the next Chuck Norris. I want them to be able to view a drill or move set on the TV, and monitor/record their interpretations of said moves.
Any ideas?
