My road bike's rear wheel (after changing a flat) is coming loose if I just slap it in a downward motion, even after it's screwed in with the center screw adjustment piece. What's the deal, do I need to replace the entire locking mechanism or what? Is this a common problem or is my bike just ********?
It happened after I changed a flat, and locked the bike to a rack. Ater securing the bike, the wheel popped out, and I noticed that the wheel wasn't all the way into the frame after tightening the adjustment piece, and it won't stay in the frame unless it's tighetend all the way (which I don't want to do, because that totally sucks). And like I said it just pops out when it's tightened to a more satisfiable torque, but comes out without much effort when I hit it with my hand.
Just want some advice on this problem, I'm going to take it in my bike shop tomorrow. I also just wanted to see if someone could help me before I take it in and spend some money to fix it.
Later.
