Classic and Vintage Bicycles: What's it Worth? Appraisals and Inquiries - Two 80's Peugeots - Value?

I picked up these two bikes recently as a package and I am considering converting them to fixed gear because kids up at school LOVE fixies.

I want to know what they are worth AS IS before I go dropping parts off of them.

Need to swap the wheels around, as the black rim matches the black rim, and the silver matches the silver.

The brown bike has limited value, as it is low end. In pristine, clean, ready to ride, maybe $150, assuming seat post is not stuck. The turquoise bike should have more value, in that type of condition, maybe $200. What kind of tubing does it have, and what is going on with the sticker on the top tube?

As is, knock off $75 each.

Yea my mistake about the wheels. Whoops!

The sticker is from some bike race in Ohio that the last owner was in. Im afraid to peel it off and leave residue. Any advice?

Carbolite tubing i believe for both.

Well, if the sticker stays on, I would knock the price down a lot, maybe $50 or more. It will scare some buyers ("what lurks beneath it"), and as a minimum, kills the pristine, classic look of the bike. It really looks bad on there.

I use a combination of patience, a hair dryer, and goo gone to clean up residue. No scrapers. Fingernail only.

Selling bikes "as is" means selling a bike as a project, at a steep discount. I commonly pick up such project bikes for around $50 each, sometimes less. My last project bikes were $35 each, all cromoly frames, alloy rims; but all needing extensive clean up and basic rehab. The seller I bought those bikes from had bought them for $5 each, so he did great. But to get maximum value, they need to be spotless and ready to ride. Few buyers are looking for projects.
