I have been commuting on a cannondale caad 9 for 3 years now and concidered installing fenders but never tackled the project of installing them. Has anyone installed full coverage fenders on a caad 9? If so could you maybe post some pics and give me some detail of what you used?

Not sure if these will fit, http://ecom1.planetbike.com/7017.html, but I've had good luck with PB fenders on my bikes.

If you want full-ish fenders you can try these:

There was a shop selling a product called 'reacharounds' that cut regular fenders in two and spaced them around the brakes, but you still may run into probs with clearance between the rear wheel and seattube. Also, you can always mount Race Blades(or PB's cheaper versions) and add a mudflap to the front.

Ooh, I like those! It looks like a way cleaner installation than other road bike fenders I've seen. They even have a decent installation video:

I had looked at both the planet bike and the crud fenders but wanted something with a little more coverage. Anyone able to fit the speedez xl or a standard full fender to the caad 9?

Full fenders and crit racing bikes don't tend to play well with each other. Good luck.

If you require owners of the exact bike you bought for answers, that may be too narrow a survey,
these mount without much fuss, but there is not a long front mudguard with a flap to keep your feet from getting sprayed..

should keep you backside from having a mud stripe though..
with race type sidepulls what you have to do is have the fender stop on both sides of the brake
as it will not fit under the brake.. I put a piece of tape under the brakes
to keep wheel sprayed crud at bay.
consider P clamps if you got no eyelets cutting the tip of the fender off
sheldon's nuts on the back of your brakes they replace the flush nut on the back and
addsa second thread to attach the L bracket onto.

You could always make your own (http://www.carsstink.org/peterson/FendForYourself.html).
They ain't pretty, but they do the job. I actually made some for my old bike. It was a beater and I didn't care what it looked like. I added some neon pink duct tape and reflective tape. There was NO missing me on that thing.
