Just bought a c 1975(?) Bianchi Rekord 745 with Valentino gears and Universal brakes on eBay.it. it was to be a little light nostalgia, and a reminder of how far bicycles have come. I usually ride a 2006 Bianchi 1885. Ridden up and down our lane all seemed OK, and although the original tubs looked, well, 35 years old I liked the period touch. I soon realised the tyres needed a bit more pressure, and duly stuck 80psi in each. Two surprisingly large bangs followed...
Problem is there's no markings on the tyres - anyone know what sizes they should be? Seem larger tahn the 700/23s on the modern
Thanks - more at http://www.teambenzina.co.uk/teamblog/ 12th August entry
