I'm going to be in town for work (8/25) and am considering heading out to the last Greenbelt Series race...I was wondering what kind of turnout I can expect...if it's questionable that I'll be able to get in I'll probably skip it...

BTW I'll be potentially doing the A race...

Looks like about 15-20 people average on the A race, and it caps at 50.

I'll probably be there. I pretty much show up every week. Also in the A race.

You will definitely be able to get in. I don't think Greenbelt has ever sold out. Ever.

the early season B races have sold out in years past, but it's rare.

do it.

know that the race is in a US National park, and money isnt permitted to change hands there, so you need to go to the TGI Fridays parking lot on the opposite side of the entrance road to the park to pay for your race, get a ticket and waiver, then proceed into the park to the upper parking lot to exhange your ticket for a # and turn in your registration. Feels kind of blackmarket, but that's the way it goes down.

i'm hoping to solve a babysitting riddle i have going on to make it out for the A race as well. it's been 20 to 25 starters each of the 4 or 5 times i've been out this year.

say hi.

I think you can buy a single race vouchers online (I know you can do it for multi race vouchers) and then simply go directly to the registration tent inside the park with your license and the voucher for your number, avoiding the whole TGIF rigamorole.

Note - if you want to park inside the Park, as opposed to parking at the TGIF, you should show up before the C race. The Park parking lot is inside the race course, which is a big D shaped loop. Once the C race starts, I'm not sure you can still get into it and it may be full as well.

They can print out a waiver there (in the park), but they appreciate it if you bring one already filled out.

Thanks for the info folks...I wasn't sure what the whole voucher deal was about, but assuming meetings don't go long I plan on attending...
