Apparently it does if you ran right home to post pics of your new bike before removing the reflectors. Keep up the good work.

Dude why would you take the reflectors off? What if you're pulling off uber skids at night, cars won't see you!!!! Will you sell them to me so I can enjoy the beauty of functionality that is so perfectly imbued in them??

The sarcasm lol. My father even told me they were knob and I had to take em off. I just took the pic right when I got the bike home. But anyway what's your shipping address?

Welcome to the club!
I usually keep the reflectors for the front & rear on the front fork & seatpost/rear brake bracket (all nice and legal for the cops), but the one's in the spokes I take those out figuring whatever weight they add might throw whatever balance the wheel might have off once it's been trued up ? I presume with a lighting system, the reflectors aren't necessary anymore because the lights have lenses that provide that reflective properties. I doubt a speedometer/computer sensor really throws off the balance that much. Not that one ever needs high speed wheel balancing on a bike wheel ? Whether it really matters or not ? But then I think about the difference that a road or track bike attains in speed vs that of a beach cruiser when it comes down to wheel balance with the reflectors in the spokes.
Can you take more pics of the reflectors now that you've taken them off?
+1

Dude, what have you been smoking?
i think he confuses wheel truing with car wheel balancing.
My housemate makes that mistake every time I talk about truing my wheels. he talks about balancing the weight distribution.

Think about your valve stem for a minute. Have you any idea how much of an imbalance an average 48mm stem can cause? I don't even want to think about it too much because I'll get upset! I actually like to glue five more stems (taken from old tubes) to my rims to properly distribute the weight. Six is a nice round number and it works out pretty well. Plus, my wheels look dope.
