Indeed he did. Many favorites crashed, including Zabel, Dekker, and Diluca. Armstrong and Pantani finished way back as well, though Armstrong was in the lead group.
I now hear that Dekker broke his hip (I am amazed!), but may be back for the TdF. Really too bad, considering last year.

Haven't had the pleasure to see this great running but the news made my day. Cipollini delivers as promised and Freddy takes second next to the great sprinter! Also glad to see Lance actually showed to help George.
