lets see some pictures of your converted road cranksets to single speed / fixed, single chainring.
i'm planning on buying a used ultegra 600 crankset, using the inner chainring with some single speed chainring bolts, there should be no technical issue with this, correct?

seems like a lot of cranks marketed for SSFG are pretty much road cranks

The only potential issue that I can see is having the correct BB spindle length to get a good chainline, but usually it works out pretty well with the stock BB and the chainring on the inside of the crankarm spider.

If its actually branded 600 Ultegra, you might want to shop it around a bit. That branding didnt last long and some one might want to spend a bit of money for it, and you would be able to make a profit. Just a thought.

The forgings used for road and track cranks are usually identical; only the final machining determines which is which. A track/SS crank arm will not have a platform for an inner chainring and the spider should be counterbored to allow the chainring bolts to seat flush with the spider.

This is basically what I'm using now. Shimano Sante crank, with a Sugino 48T chainring.
I set it up with the chainring in the outer position so I had to get the closest BB (DA 7400 BB) that gives me an ok chainline.
