I'm off to Florida...again! This time (first time) via train. First time taking the train anywheres actually! Anything I should know...look out for?...sites on the way?...tips on trian travel? I'm leaving from Pennsylvania to Florida.

Did you get a sleeping bed? You can save a lot of cash by sleeping on the floor of the viewing car, if you're game. Also, if you book without a bed, they sometimes let the rooms go cheap if they are not sold. Keep your feet very wide when you walk, to avoid being tipped over.
I just can't get enough of the viewing car; there's always something to see. You see the 'guts' of the cities, without the distractions of driving. Also, I've always found the train full of interesting people, mostly friendly.
Check all the trip options available. Some will have layovers, which can be pretty cool. You'll usually be right in the middle of a major city--it's a mini-vacation with the right attitude, and maybe a little planning.
I love Amtrak, and it would always be my first choice if I had the time. But, not everyone gets it. If it's for you, you'll know, and you'll want to go again. Enjoy your trip.

Was it Florida or Holmesburg Pen ?
Why would someone volunteer to go to FL !?!?!?!?
I lived in Philly and FL, if you can give some more specifics I might be able to advise :)
How far south are you going? I live right between the Sanford and the Winter Springs stops (with the Orlando stop not too far away). I've only used the Winter Spring stop. Nice shops, terrible sandwiches... avoid the sandwiches.
