Well, I logged on today and got that new annoying "Your New U-lock is not safe" screen. Well, I looked to the right and there was a link to "Freeride Bikes", so, I clicked it. It took me to the Versus Bikes website.

They've got three (3) frames. Pretty decent looking stuff. I like the BLITZ, and the 647. I think the Weapon - X is overkill for my needs. Pretty decent prices too.

Well, the reason for my post is that I've never heard of these frames. Being in FL, we are not privy to a lot of "new" stuff. Usually what's new for us, has been around for a year in Whistler or CA.

Also, I'm NOT in the market for another bike, but just wanted to know if anyone's ridden these bikes?

Adjust travel
Faux Bar
Looks sexy...nice
Relatively cheap
67 to 69 degree ha. Standard for a fr bike but allows you to xc on it and hit some seriously steep trails.
Swinger 4 way...thats good considering all the problems with the 6 way
Doesn't give a weight. Usuaully these frames weight in around 10 to 11 pounds. Excluding the banshee which weights 13.5.

On paper looks good. Matches up well against bikes I know. The transition Dirtbag is almost identical on paper (it looks a little different of course) But no I have never heard of this company. I would be curious to know how they are as well...hmmm

They look bloody nice. I want a weapon-X. Looks as though it could be a good DH race bike.

A2P:

I don't think Versus has been around for too long. If you want some more info on them you should PM Scrub on ridemonkey, he is sponsored by them. He has been running the Weapon-X this year and so far the bike has held up to his abuse.

I just built up the Versus 647. Its a sick bike. I didnt know how i was going to react when i got it, but after a few times riding it, its fun as hell. Also its really light. If any one has any question on this frame or wants to see the built bike just email me at xtremejeep@hotmail.com
