I noticed that GU has a GU20 Hydration drink that comes in mango flavor. I was curious if anyone has tried it. Its kind of neat to see drinks other then fruit punch, lemon-lime, orange, and grape.
Thanks for any feedback.

I got a canister of lemon-lime as a special deal w/a box of Gu. What I liked best about it was that it didn't have a strong or particularly sweet flavor.
Otherwise, I didn't notice anything particularly special, but I usually don't with ride bevs.

I picked up a lemon-lime and tried it last weekend. It was OK, tasted sort of like margarita, but it was not so good that I'd start drinking it off the bike. Thats par for the course with these drinks.
I noticed that the box display for the mango flavor seemed to have the fewest number of packets left in the display, so I guess people have been buying it, but I settled for the lemon-lime and the orange flavors so far.
I'll try to pick up one of the other flavors if we go back.
Aloha,
Rob

OK, so after doing a half-century yesterday with GU20 drinks, here is my 2 cents worth:
best flavor: lemon-lime, rasberry - drinkable, but not so delicious you'll be stocking up on it to drink while you watch TV at home.
didn't care for: orange (didn't like it), tango-mango (liked it even less than orange)
Those were the flavors I tried so far. I'd suggest to check for the single use packets, which is what I found. Admittedly, they cost more, but at $1 to fill up one 24 oz bottle, at least you're not stuck with a pound cannister of something you can't stand to drink.
On a related note, they had some flavor of Hammer Gel drink product at the aid stations. The sign said it was lemon-lime, but it didn't taste like that. It had a citrus flavor and a sort of powdered milk flavor together, and it was really yucky to my palate.
As always, your mileage will vary, so I'd just go try anything you can mooch from a pal or find in single serve packets and make up your mind.
Aloha,
Rob
