Tandem Cycling - Great summer riding . . .

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Sad to say . . . we're on our way . . .
Spent 3 glorious months riding in the Cache Valley (northern Utah). Between our tandem and single bike got in 1,500+ miles.
Much cooler than Tucson's 100+ degrees!
Headed back the roundabout way via ID, WY, UT, NV.
Summers are for fun!

Cache Valley sounds wonderful! Will you be able to get in some riding in the other states on your way home?
We'll be near Tuscon for spring break next April, visiting family down in Green Valley. I don't know if we'll take the tandem or not yet, but it's likely!

Well, it's still summer-like now in Tucson.
Riding this morning it was only 98 degrees at 9 A.M.
It'll be cooling down by October (maybe).
Were not able to ride tandem while wandering home from Utah. Our Honda station wagon is packed pretty tight: all our stuff + tandem+ single bike INSIDE!!!
Bikes are partially dis-assembled (remove wheels, pedals, stoker stem/pilot seat). Tubes of the frames are covered with piping foam to avoid damage. Bit of a tight fit, but it works well for us.
