I have referenced these forums for over a year now to find information on any number of topics and it finally occurred to me to join up.
I'm about to head off on a long bike tour, my 16th, flying into Budapest and heading ESE for the next year or two, spending time in Turkey and more time in India and points ESE from there.
I've used this site to get a lot of ideas about the rebuild of my 1983 Specialized Expedition, far and away my favorite of the 5 bikes I've toured on before and as the last week of preparations approaches, the bike stands ready. At age 65, I guess I am in as good shape as can be expected as well.
Thanks to this community for your help and guidance so far and I hope by joining I can provide the same for someone else!
