So im on a small bike tour with the misses. Working our way up to vancouver BC. 1st stop is seattle, im here now and she is on her way. So was seeing if anyone knew of any cool things to do or see here in seattle? Bike specific might be nice but whatever. Im only here till monday too.

P.s. Yes im using gears, though i miss my fixed. I miss having control over my bike.

Off the top of my head, you could ride around Alki Beach in West Seattle, check out the waterfront, check out Discovery Park, go to Hempfest this weekend, check out museums, take a ferry ride, ride around mercer island, drink some beer at the elysian, get happy hour at Barolo, or ride the ever popular Ducks.

My friend went there to visit and told me that there's some sort of tour pass you can buy at just about any sight like the Space Needle or museums or possibly gift shops. It's a pass that lets you in to many places for one low fee, I think it included a ferry ride.

5. (Distinct from 4) Sazerac @ the Zig-Zag (though I have it on good authority that Spur puts out a good one also)


For rides, I dunno, Seward Park? I only really rode up and down Denny Hill, but doing that fixed I think I'd crap myself.

Head out to the Locks.

Ride around downtown and head up to Capital Hill.

You can go ride the over priced rides at the Space Needle. They even have REAL bumper cars. :)

I really enjoy the sculpture park, at least as a landscaped space, and it's fun to hang out with Calder's Eagle and look out over the sound.

Most of the actual sculpture I could do without. But it's also a great starting point or capstone for an amble down the waterfront, and the closet-like dimensions of the Uptown Espresso there strike me as cozy.
