Not sure what to work with on this bike, going for that infamous Oreo look, maybe some red...

Your bike looks great as is. The only thing I would really recommend is that you change the zip ties or bolt on things for your rear brake wiring. Change it to something black so it blends in with your frame and doesnt look so awkward. That is just my opinion. (Possibly a nice black crankset as opposed to your current one would loook good too.)

I say avoid color with this bike. So black/white/silver only, but don't over do it. I can't tell from the picture but if you're using zipties as cable house clips then you could grab some of these http://www.velo-orange.com/diacocahocl.html

Looks like a different saddle might be in order too. I haven't heard many people say they like the stock saddle, but hey if it fits you and is comfortable then why not.

It all depends on how many $$$ you want or can spend. The sky's the limit. If it were me I'd look at wheels first, since the stock ones are substandard relative to the quality of the frame. Also, I'd upgrade the tires for sure. If you decide to change the cranks, I'd recommend the Andel; I just got a set including BB for $125 total shipped from Ben's Cycle and am very impressed with the finish and fit. They run super smooth and quiet with very even chain tension, and stay tight

What's your ride, can't tell which it is from the pic. Murdered out with a splash of o.r.a.n.g.e.

silver stem with some silver drops with white wrap could look good along with a white saddle
make the zip-tie things black
and if you wanted to add a little bit of color you could get a tire with a small color stripe such as Soma Everwears

Are you fixed? Lose the rear break, will look so much cleaner. But may not be as practical for you.
I think a mostly black, little white with red accents would be sweet

I'm not a fan of those bars/grips. Personally I prefer drops or bull horns on a "road" bike.

When I see those flat black Lambos rolling down, what I always notice are the bright red (or yellow) brake housings that you can just see through the spokes of the rims. I say do that, in a minimalist, understated way. So maybe an anodized rear cog and big ring and that's about it.

but then you mentioned a white saddle. You could push for the oreo look, but you would be wasting all that black and silver goodness, which looks way better than black and white IMO.

I'm pretty sure those andel's are what came stock on my surly steamroller

Yeah, that's what Surly's website says, however, the chainring is different. Also, they say the BB is 103mm, which is confusing, cuz mine uses a 110mm. Anyways, the Andels are really nice and a steal at $105 from Ben's Cycle.

Silver deep V's or b43's laced to black hubs.

Silver bars.

drop the spacers of comfort allows, and get a stem that goes paralell to the ground......as someone said earlier in this thread, Im not a big fan of risers. But heey. I think it would look cooler with a lower stem. Even one that slopes downward.

But heey. I like it.

Come live in Tokyo, all parts are double US price and it costs 1000USD a month for an apartment to fit a bed AND a sofa!

Women are cheap though!
