Foo - What's this?@#!! What do I do ???

Couple weeks ago, I took the sailboat out to the islands for a couple days to kick back with some friends. Went back to the marina this last weekend to finish cleaning up and I found a box sitting in the back. Hmmm, must've been some supplies someone brought down before and we didn't use up. I finished cleaning up and took the box back to my garage and opened it up. Hmmm, what's this? I don't recognize it as anything I had brought along. Each package is about 20x20cm and weights about 2.2lbs. What should I do???

Contact the cops. Then contact everyone you had aboard. The one that claims the box is no longer an associate. Or see if the marina has video of your boat from the time you docked to the time you went back- just to make sure someone didn't slip aboard between those times.

From that pic, it appears you found 9 PB&J Sandwiches. I bet the Sea Scouts were out and stopped by your boat to work on a Merit Badge and just forgot their lunch. Seem like some darn big sammiches though. If they have grape jelly in them, eat them. If not, throw them out as any other flavor of jelly is just wrong.

Was just talking with a neighbor I go out to supper with occasionally and she used to live down the street farther in a 4 apt house that was run down (it's not now) where drugs were being dealt out of the first apartment - and she used to call the cops (as there was some prostitution there as well) - and on one of her occasions of walking (she does a lot of that) she came across a large baggie full of drugs (coke) hidden in the bushes in front of her place and so she walked over to the cops were ever present on the street by the apartment house and tried to give the cops the drugs - but it didn't go very smoothly. My friend got questioned - rather harshly at times too - she was dumbfounded as she was just trying to do the right thing. Hopefully this was an isolated incidence and from a couple cops having a bad day.

Cops seem like a great start. Talking to your friends AFTER the cops also seems like a good thing to do. Checking for cameras wouldn't hurt. It is possible that it could have been placed there while docked. It would be interesting to know what you have nine kilos of.
