Just wondered if anyone is seeing any coverage.

It's the first ever Youth Olympics and happens to be in Singapore.

14 to 18 year old competitors.

The atmosphere is fantastic. Real sense of friendly competition.

The events have been innovative and mixed too. Mixed sex swimming relays, three on three basketball, mixed country running relays with first leg 100m, 2nd leg 200m, 3rd leg 300m and final leg 400m.

I had a chance to ride and motopace some of the tt riders - such a pleasure.

No egos, just a sense of enjoyment.

Loads of competitors walking around the City state smiling.

Simply a pleasure to be around.

I went to SA for the football World Cup earlier this year and the attitude of the competitors couldn't be more contrasting.

I salute the youth!

I guess this is getting zero air time elsewhere. Such a shame. Closing ceremony today and nobody cares about the medal table. One of the best sporting celebrations ever.

Youth competitions turn out like that a lot of the time. When I went to the world youth climbing meet to compete a few years back I spent more time hanging out with and meeting foreign teams than I did hanging out with the US team.

I just thought that with this being an official Olympics it would resonate around the world a little.

Really has been a great event with mutual respect for amongst the athletes and a passion that only the youth can exhibit.

When this is huge, and it will be, I can say I was at the first one.

Next one is the 2012 Youth Winter Olympics in Innsbruck.
