Cool story bro.
It's a nice looking bike... what kind of frame damage you looking at? Anything serious?

Awesome kitty.
It seems like your crank spider has drawn into the spindle further than it needs.

cool. so you'll be actually racing on a track in japan when?
i kid, i kid. looks sweet and classically styled.
also, I recently overheard in a bike shop that true NJS bikes need to be silver/chrome, or painted champange. any truth to this?

Really nice, but I'd never have any reason to buy an NJS frame.

really, just a stamp? i thought these rode beautifully. aluminum frames never peaked my interest enough to try one due to the ugly welding

to cushy for my liking. had a bridgestone, and it was just...eh. swapped to an aluminum and had much more fun on it.
everyone likes different stuff. I find the aluminum welds add character :)

I've had a 3rensho, makino and now a panasonic. The makino rode the nicest with the 3rensho pretty smooth aswell. The stamp is just a stamp but a lot of the companies produce really nice frames.
How do you plan to build it up? The dude at georama makes nice frames, how do you plan to build it up?

apart from the njs hs, bb, nitto stem and dura ace cranks/chainring the rest will be cheaper parts unless i can find a deal on a nice set of wheels

I got half njs parts but i would rather have all dura ace than all njs.
There are some decent all njs wheelsets on ebay right now for 275. a lot cheaper than if you bought the parts.

something about the mystique and prestige of NJS frames, as well as the occasional reference to the frames as 'japanese steel' lead me to believe that all NJS frames (or at least, the best ones) are made by this guy:

the cost of stamps has been going up, but this is ridiculous.
