I currently run hutchison bulldogs, but need a skinnier tire in a 30 or 32 mm. My chainstay clearance is pretty tight and while the 34mm bulldogs fit and roll with no contact, its too close for comfort.
what clinchers are you guys riding?
Michelin Mud2 is a nice tire and about as skinny as you'l find. I switched to them mid-season last year and was very happy.

Mud2s are pretty common for midatlantic racing.

Challenge Fango's in 32 did me fine until I went tubulars.

I run three different clinchers depending on the conditions. Tire choice and pressure can make a huge difference in races. I have the tires mounted on different wheelsets and get to the race venue early enough to allow enough time to test the tires while warming up
I use Mud2's for muddy conditions. Last year in a race with some loose gravel I fell on the straights with the Mud2's due to there being no tread/lugs on the sides. With hind sight the muddy sections were not significant enough to justify the loss of traction on gravel and side grades.
I have a pr of Conti's with file treads for hard packed surfaces and grass. Mostly good for early season and frozen ground.
I use the Bontrager tires that came with my XO1 Trek for general riding and training

I ran the Maxxis Raze last year and had no complaints whatsoever. This year I'm going to try the Mud2s and some Maxxis Mimos.

Have heard good about the Mud2's. Personally I run Challenge Grifos on both the tubular and clincher wheelsets, same tread. My tubulars are 34's but the 32's give you plenty enough tire to race on.
