We've had a break in our hot, sticky weather, and today was a beautiful day to ride. I was able to fix my digital camera, so to test it I took some pictures of my commute in this morning.

I didn't get any pictures of Energy Park Drive, the on street part of my route. I'm lucky that about half of my commute is not in traffic.

I've ridden through most of those areas at one time or another. The transit way is fun. Have you been on it during the state fair? Is there a significant amount of extra bus traffic?

My current commute puts me on West River Road too. I get on West of where your last picture was taken, - right where the road is blocked. Not sure why traffic isn't allowed there anymore, and if it's just temporary or permanent. Maybe it's the wooden bridge.

The transitway is great, but during the fair there are many extra buses. MTC and U of M drivers are fine, giving lots of space, but the contract drivers are awful--honking, buzzing--so it's probably best to use the MUPs during the fair. Energy Park Drive is also busier, with the fair causing a shock wave effect on local traffic. I'm bracing myself.

I think the West River Parkway is closed while they decide what to do with the wood plank section. It's really slippery when wet.
