I need fenders for my Dahon Jack but I don't know what size to buy. The original tires are 26" x 2.0" and I am planning to change the tires to 26" x 1.25" or 1.0". I'm pretty sure if I were to stick with the original 26x2.0 tires I would need the Planet Bike Full ATB (60mm wide) (http://www.amazon.com/Planet-Bike-Front-Bicycle-Fender/dp/B000RYBGKM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&qid=1282765839&sr=1-1) but I since I am changing the tires to thinner 26x1.0 or 1.25 tires I would probably need a thinner fender right? or am I wrong? so if I need a thinner fender will this Planet Bike Full Hybrid/Road Fender (45mm wide) (http://www.amazon.com/Planet-Bike-Hybrid-Bicycle-Fender/dp/B000RYAL08/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&qid=1282765948&sr=1-4)work for me? The thing with the Full Hybrid fenders is that it's Road tires up to 27 x 1.25in or 700c x 35mm and the ATB fits tires 26"x1.75" to 2.25". Will it matter if I fit a 27" fender onto my 26" wheels? My tires will be 26 x 1.0 or 1.25....so which one should I buy? Is it better to have wider or tighter fenders in terms of water splashing?

Here are some links that I have been looking over and over again trying to figure out what I should get...maybe you pro's can help me..thanks in advance.

I have the PB Cascadia's on my LHT. I had the SpeedEz's on my hardtail (attached with hose clamps). The width on the LHT tires is 1.5" and on the hardtail 1.25". I really didn't care how my bike looked with narrower tires and wide fenders.

Wider fenders will block more, not less, water. If you are looking for max protection, go for the 26".
