Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Oh boy! I'd get a cat with litter box, food, toy etc etc.
I'd get a track dedicated bike, use the money to buy insurance + register for local track + beginner lessons etc. I'd get a Leader 722TS frame set, Miche Advance/Sugino 75 crankset, Mavic OP laced to Formula wrapped in some Michelin Pro Race3/ Vittoria Open Corsa Evo Cx, Keo Max 2 + cheapish road shoes, maybe a nice road helmet, Atoms/Ions/S-Works, SRAM PC-7X and save the rest of the money if I have any left.

A Bianchi Super Pista in celeste frame... I already have more than enough spares to build a nice set up.

2010 Specialized Langer. Saw one at my LBS going for $500. Solid bike for that price.
Otherwise shop around, you have enough to get a good bike at the LBS, or check Craigslist.

This. Except first choice Wabi Classic (instead of Special), and second choice Jamis Sputnik.
ichitz, are you making a Cachet army?
Just imagine, you're alone on a dark street, and you hear a noise behind you. You whip around to see a whole herd of Cachet-riding zombie hipsters coming towards you. What do you do first?
OP:
I'd buy a Vigorelli frame and a Kilo TT complete. Then I'd put the components from the TT on the Vigo, and sell the TT frame on ebay for $100.
You will be so baller.

Pssh, vehicles never have any gas in zombie movies. And if you're in Manhattan, there are no hills. *gasp*

What are you going to do with the bike, daily rider or track?
I'd search Craigslist for a good used bike that someone has spent $1,000 on new and is selling for $500. They're not that hard to find. That's how I got my first fixed bike, a Soma Rush, which has been a perfect commuter/daily rider. The other nice thing about a slight used bike (other than the price) is that it will likely already have a few scratches and dings, so you can just enjoy it without worrying about keeping it perfect.
Langster or Sputnik are good choices, but it is hard to find a sputnik for a test ride. Many more Langsters out there, and the seem to have good resale value on craigs list.

On the real, though, I'd buy this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/MINT-2009-Specialized-58cmS-Works-Langster-Frame-Set-/120605313718?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0
You might come in a hair over your budget once you get it built up, but it would be worth it.
Cut a hundred off that so you can get a lock, pump, basic tools, etc.

First off, image spamming is annoying.
And second, you only posted 6. If you're going to be annoying, at least learn to count.

Buy a good used bike that someone has spent $2000 on and is selling for $1000! Might as well use the full budget!
