Commuting - lightweight quickdry trainers for the wet

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
So the wet has come to Wales, which isn't unusal, but it's a bit too early to give up the cycling just yet and i have to hit my 800mile commute mark.
I'm just wondering if anyone knows of some nice lightweight quickdrying trainers. I've thought about sandals but would prefer a layer between skin and road.

I bought some Lonsdale trainers from that Soccer World/Sports direct place (you know, the cheapo sports shop) a while ago and never really considered them for cycling until recently when I got a new bike and my usual trainers were catching on the chain stays. They seem to be pretty good, stiff, light, reasonable amount of grip but would be better with toe-clips, and plastic coated so they shed the rain. I think they were only about £15.
