I'm just curious as to how much everyone's ride weighs
I bought a fisherman's scale on eBay to find out
It was one of those sketched-out deals where it ships from Korea or something & takes weeks
But it was only 4 bux so I can't complain
So it turns out my bike tips the scales at 23.30 pounds
Which is a lot more than it feels like
Let's see some other numbers!!

My SS is somewhere in the 25-30 lb range. It doesn't feel like it to me cos I can pick it up no problem. I also have a hybrid geared bike which must weight like 40 or even 50lbs cos I have the hardest time picking that up to put on the bus.

So 23lbs is on the lighter side?
I was expecting to be a heffer
I have pretty much all stock (Suntour, Sakae) components, wheelset aside
Which are still pretty low-end
DP18s with CSTs, Origin8 hubs
& I've seen how people deck their bikes out on here
Carbon seatposts & what not
But everything's aluminum & feels super super light
Sooo Idk

Its 17.4lbs then the scale reset...
So 23lbs is on the lighter side?
not really.. i think
about 20lbs = average
about 17lbs = lighter side
about 13lbs = really light
about 10 or lower = hopeless weight weenie

I'd say that 19-22 is average
16-18 is light
13-15 is really light
12 and below is a weight weenie build.

OK, thanks. my eyes didn't see the dot there. getting old I guess
Hi Ten Vilano, I left the u-lock on and the bike was 26 lbs. I was so excited about finding a scale outdoors that I forgot to take the lock off. It's a cheapo Chinese lock, basically a Bell u-lock like this one and it's indicated at 2.4 lbs:

23.6 lbs doesn't seem too bad for a Hi Ten frame ?
Weighed myself first and then myself & the bike and subtracted. Not sure what the exact weight in .1 incremments, but the needle seemed to be right on top of the lb mark for both measurements, so will have to assume whole lbs. We'll call it an unofficial weigh in for those that want to be technical about it ?

Just under 25lbs
My Sports Tourer (Schwinn X-tra lite) fixed is about 23 lbs, but that's also with cross tires and really heavy wheels.
The Chesini (Columbus Cromor) 1x7 with shimano 600 is 24 lbs
The S-works (Columbus E5 Alu) with campy 11 speed is 18 ish lbs, and will probably sneak under when I get a new front wheel.

My current cinelli vigorelli config weighs ~16.9 pounds... no carbon parts aside from stock fork; but a b43 wheelset (which redeems itself by being laced to phil high flange)
Yes I need a scale of my own although I don't really care about weight that much, but then I'll most likely become anal about weight then....

My bike comes in at about 23lbs. Huge (taller than yours) low end frame, if yours weighs more then you suck!! ;)

-Sugino 75
-Open Pro to Dura Ace
-Cinelli bars/stem
-Flite saddle and campy post
Also, Chitz, I don't think there are many bikes that weigh under 10 lbs. I don't think I've ever seen one.

My toyo is at 16.58 pounds. I would like to get that to the sub 16 but that's not going to happen unless I drop over 1500 bucks at least....
Carbon fork, crank set.
The low flange hub and alum aero help quite a bit.
As well as a 145 gram saddle.
