Does anyone know of someone that makes a basic front rack that is capable of carrying around 25 lbs and costs less than $50? I've only been able to find one: Pletscher. I keep finding either full blown pannier models or "basic" racks that cost well over $100. This seems ridiculous. Every bike shop carries rear racks that are in my price range, but nobody even knows where to get front racks. How is that possible? I made a nice wooden crate and I just want something simple and not bulky that I can zip tie it to. Any help would be MUCH appreciated! Thanks!

i bought one of these about a month ago ive had good luck with it, its about 2/3 or so the size of a standard rear rack but i did the same thing i bolted a small milk crate to it

This one will only mount to brake bosses. Sorry I should've mentioned it's for a 700c road bike with sidepull brakes. Any other references?

Does it have mounts for low-rider racks? If so you can get a rack that attaches to the low riders, something like:

This rack doesn't have a strut to attach to the brake stud

If I could get that top section that had struts all the way to the frok ends that would be perfect. Im not running panniers so I don't need all the extra stuff though.
