Not sure where to post this, but I saw this on Bogley.com and I built one for my kids bikes to store their bikes during the spring summer fall.

for $15 in PVC and cement, you can have a pretty good bike rack. I cracked one of the T, when I was finishing up, but everything was dry and I would have to start all over. But, I did not read the directions and I did not alternate the 3 1/16" and the 3 3/4". So, it make a good rack. I think I spent probably 2 - 3 hours of time. making. To the mods, if this goes somewhere else you can move it.

I have a pretty good idea what PVC fittings cost in my area. I count 34 T connectors and 6 elbow connectors. There is no way I would be able to purchase everything you used for $15.

Just reemember to not use it anywhere sunlight can hit it

HD must have screwed up when they charged me. My total was under $15. I will have to check the receipt. It was 34 T and 6 elbows. and 2 20' pieces of 1" and cement. So, the true cost may be more like $30 - $35. I was just doing the math in my head for the T and if I remember right they were ~ $.64 each and that would be about $22. I will have to go back and pay them some more money.

Just looked at the receipt and they only charged me for 1 T, not 34. That would explain the price difference.

Your rack gets me thinking about building a rack out of 80/20 extrusions (http://www.8020.net/) - much sturdier than PVC.
