After years of carefully putting my spare key for my car in it's proper place, I finally misplaced it after taking it to the hardware store to look for a lousy screw.
Now it looks like I need to replace the whole remote. I want to do so before I lose my primary key.
The car us a 2000 Toyota Solara. Luckily,it does not use the embedded chip in the key. I have a valet key and it works fine. No chip on the key. So all I need to do is replace the key fob.
Has anyone ordered one of these online? I found this place (http://www.keylessride.com/) and it looks like they have my fob.
Much cheaper than the dealer but still a bit steep. Has anyone else bought a remote alarm fob online? Where did you buy it? Any problems?
