Electronics, Lighting, & Gadgets - Got an Edge 500 - yay! Now I want intelligent Facebook / twitter sharing.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I've been looking for a way to share my rides from my new Garmin Edge 500, but sadly nothing is really fitting the bill. Most everything I've found essentially just says "I worked out on 8/27. http://link.com/activityid/". I'm trying to find a better way to give a little more intelligence to my shares, much like RunKeeper does. For those not familiar with it, here's the Facebook version:

And here's what it sends to twitter:
"Just completed a 17.09 mi bike ride with @runkeeper. Check it out! http://rnkpr.com/a11aaa #RunKeeper"

The twitter version obviously includes a lot less info, but sadly I've just not found any way to take the data from my Edge 500 and share it in a way that doesn't FORCE friends to have to click through for a brief summary. If it could share like Runkeeper does above, that would be awesome.

In an ideal world, it would be nice, through whatever service, to be able to create a sharing "template" of sorts with certain variables included in the workout entries. Something like "I completed a %activity activity on %date. %distance | %time | %speed_avg | %pace | %climb. http://link.to/activity

Is this already possible somewhere I'm just not aware of?

Thanks for any help / insight.
