I have gambled ( they call it gameing nowdays) in that town. Nothing but nothing in that town would be in danger if a cyclist would ride on the streets.
They are not smart enough to do a promotion and have cyclistd roll up from Golden and have a party.
If you don't know what the place looks like google maps it and see for your self. they could easily route cicyles anywhere they would like. http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&tab=wl
The only really bad part was the road to Central City ( but that was in the mid 1990's)
Pass a law they cant have HVAC in town

The other thing that is obvious from Google maps...you could put a total stranglehold on that town. With organized groups strategically placed on 119, nothing could get in or out.

I was just putting it there as a joke. Too much military training identifying tactical targets and a single road through town is a stranglehold.:D
Now actual planning of an operation would have to be more comprehensive to limit casualties. It is rather obvious that the bikes would be the distraction where the primary blockers would be the sag vehicles going 3MPH, set in waves so as the first group is pulled over for going too slow, traffic still does not speed up. Bikes could even be used for propaganda dissemination in the stalled traffic, passing out brochures summarizing the issue (blaming city govt of course) and suggesting that they use alternate routes bypassing Blackhawk in the future, suggesting an impromptu reoccurence.
Of course, not addressed are the hotheads with guns with the wild west identity or mindthink.

The direction of this thread is not approved by the OP. I might just have a temper tantrum and have it closed down. Heck, I might even stomp off and not return for two or three days.
I am truly confused about one aspect of this sordid little affair.
In Kentucky the Republican leadership is firmly opposed to the legalization of casinos in the state, in part for this very reason, that casinos take quaint little towns and turn them into pits of stupidity and greed.
They are absolutely savaged by the liberal establishment, who have never seen something they didn't want to tax the crap out of (for the good of the children, of course).
Is it possible, given these biases, that the leadership of Blackhawk is (gasp!) Democrat?
That would be ironic, would it not?
