Folding Bikes - Brompton owners: How bad does the jones get between ordering and receiving?

I ordered mine (M1R in red) nine days ago. It feels like much longer ago and there's still a long way to go. My test ride (on a black M1R - I also tested a Tikit) becomes a distant memory.

How did you take your mind off the wait for your ingenious folding machine? Did drinking help?

There was no waiting time for the initial purchase of my own Brompton. The model that I wanted-CE3-was in stock and ready to go when I went to the very-far-away-from-my-residence bike shop. The B-Spoke option was not offered at the time I was last in the market for one. But that did not deter me from doing additional upgrades and improvement on my little primary bike over the years. So....my waiting period is actually a series of waiting periods as I like to do gradual upgrades when the bike goes into the shop for tune-ups. I think I will continue this practice with my present Raleigh Twenty and any future Bromptons I buy. The waits seem to make the bike more attractive to me-and ease separation anxiety that you seem to suffer from also.

I could say suck it up,but that would be cruel remembering back to when i had to wait for mine. (Mines a 2009) Not easy wondering about all the things that could go wrong re:damage shipping or something not ordered right or what if i dont like it after i got it:eek:. I almost had forgotten. Anyway all will turn out and all will be good times once youve ridden it some. Then you will be able to tell us about your exploits on it. Happy times soon.

Yellow Bicycle

INGREDIENTS
Ice
1/2 ounce St-Germain elderflower liqueur
1/2 ounce Yellow Chartreuse
4 ounces Prosecco or cava
Lemon zest, for garnish (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice, then add St-Germain and Chartreuse and stir until well chilled.
Strain into a cocktail glass and top with Prosecco or cava. Garnish with lemon zest, if using.

Todd at CC .. gave me an older steel bag rack when one of the aluminum pop rivets went on the new bag frame.. that I had bought from his shop.
it was his personal one, used ..

added a battery taillight to the dynamo one, in place of a reflector.
