If you are in San Jose, take Caltrain to SF. The ride starts at 6pm at Justin Herman Plaza (Market at Embarcadero) a few blocks from the 4th st Caltrain station. Note: there is a Giants game tonight, so if you take Caltrain, make sure you return to San Jose before the game lets out because the train will be crowded. But the ride ends by 8pm or so. If you are not familiar with SF, be sure to bring a map. You never know where the ride will go.
Attended bike parking at the ball park.

For BART, take Bart from the Fremont station. (closest to San Jose).

And yes, it is a fun ride. Last month took us down Lombard St. The crockedest street.

I just saw the Philly ride when I was in the middle of my route. The group of about 30 was heading north on Broad Street and turning left onto Spring Garden. A motorcyclist stopped and threatened fisticuffs. i didn't see any police. Most of the cyclists had LED taillights, though.

Amazingly, our sleepy little anti-bike town of Bowling Green saw about 25-30 riders! We consumed one lane on a country road that leads out of town and backed up traffic for about a mile, then proceeded to ride back through campus, where we got pulled over, but not sure what for. After that, we kept moving, eventually down the main drag through town, which was a four lane road so traffic wasn't too bad. We ended by heading up a bike path, to someones house. Me, schwinnbikelove, and another guy named Lee headed to Panera for post ride refreshments. schwinnbikelove has pictures that will be up soon, hopefully.
